Our Trainer, Terry Hanson of Gas Training Specalists (GTS) is the associations exclusive trainer. Hanson has been involved in the educational training of propane companies for 20+ years and is considered “the best in the business” by marketers throughout the United States. Hanson brings practical hands on knowledge to each course.

Underground Storage Tank Owner/Operator Training:
SDP2MA contracts with Rounds & Associates to offer continuing UST Owner/Operator Training. In 2011 and 2012, working together with the SD Department of Environment and Natural Resources and through a grant from the SD Petroleum Release Compensation Fund, we achieved 99.9% compliance for the EPA mandatory training. This is the BEST compliance rate in the nation. Our trainer, Brian Pottebaum, has taught in access of 200 seminars and counting. Pottebaum has experience as a in-the-field inspector for both the state of Iowa and PMCI – insurance company. He brings vast knowledge of all UST systems and related issues. This four hour seminar provides videos, photographic examples and personal experiences.
We continue to offer this FREE training for UST Owner/Operators throughout the state of South Dakota. Each year, 10 training courses are offer throughout South Dakota.
The following classes will be offered to all UST owner/operators in 2013. These classes may be attended by new owner/operators/managers or anyone seeking to gain education about USTs.
